LOOK, What I got!!! A Dollhouse!

Okay, so it is a little dirty.
Okay, so it's very dirty! lol ;)
But, it's mine, all Mine!
I hate to even touch it, but had to take some before pictures, before I got to cleaning it.
I think it even has an occupant, a tiny spider...
Filthy dirty, damaged and crayoned on.
Who could ask for a more delightful thing. ;)
My assistant. :)
So, there it is, my auction winning. Made of sturdy plywood, it appears to be handmade, from the fifties maybe? If anyone has any idea in regards to age, please post a comment.

This must have been sitting in someone's basement for a while, I'm itching to clean it up.

Hubby has graciously offered to wire it, after I told him he has to help me. ;) Needs a few repairs here and there possibly something around the front entry, like a little roof and a step, maybe some columns, one of those fancy things above the door.... and..... and..... and.... ;)

  1. Ooh, that's exciting, Dale! You're going to have so much fun with it.

  2. Thanks, Lori and De. :)

Believe me, I'm doing a mini happy dance in my head right now. :)

  3. Happy happy for you! What a great little house! You are going to have such a good time with it!

  4. Thank you, Kathi! :)

I think I am going to have to restrain myself with this one, it's going to have to be a Sunday afternoon only project, or I will never get anything else ever done.

    (thinks of it longingly)

But, I do hope to document it all here on my blog, that will be the most fun, sharing it. :)

  5. ooooh! Wonderful! Lucky you :)
    I'm green with envy!
