I'm in an Etsy Treasury! :)

This lovely treasury west was made by Snowfern, a real sweet gal from Singapore. She makes a lot of food items for the dollhouse and jewelry as well.

I love, love, love her rubber ducks! I have three duckies coming my way. :) To represent my puddle ducks, that even though are now older, still jump in puddles. :)

Oh, if you click on the title, it will take you to the treasury. :)

The Dollhouse with Furniture!

The first bedroom. The twin bedroom set fits in here just lovely. I even think the color of the walls and the wood furniture has a nice blend to it. Still wavering on what color this room will be. I want to be able to play and change things around, but, I don't want to end up with all of the interiors beige/cream/neutral.

My porcelain bathroom fixtures just fit in, I knew they would!
I'm thinking light pink for the walls, maybe some wainscotting. I really like the look of black and white tiles but, the wood flooring is so nice, I don't want to change it. Maybe a black and white floor cloth will do the job. This will be fun to accessorise. :) Back in the hallway there, is a half round table made by minibuilder his work is so fine and delicate.

This second bedroom may end up being green, but perhaps a just lighter shade. The metal bed I have had since childhood and I love it so much! It's broke on me so many times and yet, each time, hubby glues it back up for me. The shabby chic end tables were a custom order made by Jemjoop. I have plans to make some shabby chic stuff, maybe having the dollhouse will get me on that quicker. The round table was made by turningsin he makes some of his creations on a lathe, really impressive stuff! The little dresser I got online and plan to paint it shabby chic style, perhaps even decoupage it. It's not made real well, so the shabby chic will just fit it. :)

The kitchen/dining room. Well, I obviously have no furniture for the kitchen, lol. ;) But, there also isn't much room in this kitchen to begin with. I think a big stove on the right side wall, a sink under the window and a fridge is going to pretty much take up the entire space. They'll have to eat daily in the dining room.
The dining room has mix matched chairs and the little china cabinet fit in just right. But, I might be getting some new dining room tables and chairs from minibuilder so, it might look totally different later. The table, chairs and china cabinet are from childhood and I recently purchased the additional two chairs.

The hallway, not much in there now, huh? lol ;) I think a long skinny table in the hall with two ottomans under it and two lamps sitting on it, a coat rack and an umberella stand, maybe a potted plant. Definitely lit garland for the holidays. Did you know you can buy strings of Christmas lights? I think that is so cool!

Okay, not much furniture in the living room! It really does look like someone just moved in! I love the firepace, I got that on line. I had one before, but, some dog ate it. :( So, I already had the fireplace tools and andilirons and fire wood. I have a pottery piece holding the firewood. The grandfather clock is from childhood. The end table I bought on line. And the side tables I got from minibuilder. I really like his work, can you tell? lol ;)
I'm itching to do something with the dollhouse, but apparently you have to wire it first. :( I deemed Sundays to be dollhuse day, but hubby is not cooperating. He thinks Sunday is gardening day. The mamoth size leaves peeking in the dollhouse windows are his cucumber plants.
I think he seriously needs to consider what is really important on Sundays. ;)

I snagged one!

I got a treasury on etsy, it lasts til Monday night, so check it out here, before it disappears. :)

It features my team mates from TeamMIDS, Miniatures in Dollhouse Scale. It was easy to make such a lovely collection, given that I had so much to choose from.

Search teamMIDS on etsy when you are looking for quality scale dollhouse miniatures.

This is the house that Jack built.

Well, I don't know if the person who made it was named Jack, but that kept running through my mind as I cleaned it. ;) It's definitely the house that dale is going to decorate. :)

It came out pretty good. Someone gave me the tip of using Tilex Mold and Mildew Cleaner, since it was so covered in mold. :(

For some reason, I always forget to include one side of the dollhouse. Oh, well! lol

Look at the difference between the clean top floor and the dirty first floor! When I say it was filthy, trust me, it was.

Hubby had to remove the bathroom wall so I could properly clean the upstairs hallway. With a little glue, sanding and paint, it will be good to go. :)

The first bedroom. This color is starting to grow on me. Not a color I would normally pick, but, I can appreciate it.

The bathroom and upstairs hall.

The second bedroom. It's a shame some rotten kid colored on this wall. I'm liking this green, but, it would have to be painted over anyway since it is so marred on the inside.

The kitchen and dining room combination. I removed the upper kitchen cabinets.

The hallway, what the stairs are beige and not gray? Who'd have guessed that! lol

The living room. I removed the fireplace as well.

One of the best discoveries was these hardwood floors. I think they can be sanded and refinished. I love the honey color of wood floors. :)

I started cleaning it with the cleaner and rags and then I had to get out a tooth brush to give it a good scrubbing and get in the little nooks and cranies. I used hubby's toothbrush. (Just kidding!) ;) Then, I used q-tips, to get in the even smaller places, especially around the stairs.

The dollhouse at night. Well, I had to say goodnight to her! I wouldn't be a good mom if I didn't tuck her in for the night. Tee hee. ;)

Next time, I blog about the dollhouse I'll show you it with furniture placed in it. Yes, I had to play with it! lol ;)

Linda said she's had her eye on it for a while and has a project in mind for it. We'll have to keep an eye on her blog to see what it will be. Right now, she's wallpapered her kitchen in wine bottle labels, how cool is that? Can't wait to see what she does next in there. :)

I'm going to have to get more of those fruit pillows made and listed. :)

Next time, an update on my dollhouse. :)

So proud of her! :)

My New Dollhouse Interior Close-ups. :)

Starting at the top left of the house

This is the first bedroom. It's a nice size. I'm thinking traditional in here, I have twin beds that would look nice in here.

The bathroom. I have a porcelain claw foot tub bathroom set that I think will just fit in here.

When you peek through the door you can see the upstairs hallway where the steps come up. I think I could even get a settee in there under the window. (No hubby in there to complain about too much furniture in the way) ;)

The second bedroom, again, nice size. I'm thinking roses and shabby chic all over. I have a white metal bed that would look great in here. And one of the roses needlepoint rugs from my etsy shop. (Must remember to put one aside for myself now) ;)

The kitchen and dining room combo. I'm probably going to take down the kitchen cabinets that are in there now. The doors don't open, how would I ever store my things? I can see a lit chandelier in the dining room area, another one of my rugs and I'm pretty sure my table, chairs and a china cabinet I have will just fit. :)

Even the hallway will be fun to decorate, a runner, coat rack, maybe a nice potted plant.

Think of garland running up the stair rail during the Christmas season. :)

The living room. Great size. Will probably take out this fireplace, as I have a better one. :) If I'm lucky, maybe I can even squeeze in two seating arrangements.

Ignore the latice peeking in through all of the windows and doors, I think that's a cucumber vine back there.

So many thoughts and dreams filling up my head right now. It's a good thing. :)

LOOK, What I got!!! A Dollhouse!

Okay, so it is a little dirty.
Okay, so it's very dirty! lol ;)
But, it's mine, all Mine!
I hate to even touch it, but had to take some before pictures, before I got to cleaning it.
I think it even has an occupant, a tiny spider...
Filthy dirty, damaged and crayoned on.
Who could ask for a more delightful thing. ;)
My assistant. :)
So, there it is, my auction winning. Made of sturdy plywood, it appears to be handmade, from the fifties maybe? If anyone has any idea in regards to age, please post a comment.

This must have been sitting in someone's basement for a while, I'm itching to clean it up.

Hubby has graciously offered to wire it, after I told him he has to help me. ;) Needs a few repairs here and there possibly something around the front entry, like a little roof and a step, maybe some columns, one of those fancy things above the door.... and..... and..... and.... ;)

Happy Fourth of JULY! :)

Okay, so I'm a little bit late, lol ;)

What else is new? Waiting for things to return to normalcy so I can back to listing and creating and most of all, sharing about mini making with all of you. Please, bear with me.

I do hope that all who celebrate Independence Day had a wonderful time. It was so nice to relax among friends and socialise. :)

In the mean time, I'm running a Christmas in July Sale in my shop and it's a BOGO!

That's right, buy one, get one of equal or lesser value, for free, how cool is that?

It's going to be for a limited time only, so don't wait too long, I might stop it at any time.

Real simple to do, just list your second item in the notes to seller when you proceed to check out.
In the event that two people want the same thing, the second buyer will be notified for a second choice.

Can't wait to get back here in full force! Invite your mini friends to follow my blog, when I reach 50 followers, I will host a giveaway. Feel free to comment on any entry of my blog with your idea of what should be given away.

Until next time, and hopefully, it's not going to be long now at all.... :)
