Dollhouse Miniatures Custom Order Fourth of July Celebration

For the last month, most of my "free" time has been consumed with a custom order.

This has been the most fun! Challenging at times, as all minis can be at times, but, for the most part, the most rewarding experience.

I found out about the request from Small Stuff Digest. If you are not familiar with it, it is an email that comes every few days or so and is like a forum. People post and others answer and it all comes to your email. http://smallstuff-digest.com

This was the picture that caught my eye.

The request was for some sewing help, specifically bunting, which the picture was necessary as not everyone knows what bunting is. (Bunting in other countries is also another thing, as I have found out along the way).

But, not just bunting, also chair cushions and pillows. This was right up my alley!

And, the picture was so inspiring. This, I can do, I thought to myself and hurriedly dashed off my reply, hoping I'd be one of the first to answer the request.

More next time,
dale

ps. feel free to leave a comment if you wish, I think you need to be logged in to do so.

pps. Big thanks to all of my followers, I appreciate it, and will try to keep you entertained. :)

Well, I hope everyone had a nice a weekend and lovely Mother's day. I know I did. :)

I awoke to freshly made croissants by my middle child, she's the baker. The kids stayed home for the most part and I basically lazed about and did some work on my minis.

For dinner, hubby made his famous cheese steaks. (I even had him make me an extra one, which I had for lunch today, yummy!) Then, ice cream for dessert.

I got mom a big box of Whitman's chocolates, her favorites. I got chocolate from my oldest daughter, enough to last me til Christmas, well, maybe... and a pot of impatients from my son, which when I said, "Impatients?" he thought I was referring to him. Cute. ;)

And, guess what else I got?!

Something I've been wanting for a long time!

My very own
pink tool box!

Makes me want to build something!
Or hang a picture or something.

Each piece is perfectly scaled and weighted for a woman's hands.
How cool is that?

I really don't know what this handle and assorted stick like screwy things are.
They will stay nicely in their box. :)
Well, since today was spent on chores, tomorrow will be spent on mini making. :)
And, hopefully, I can get something new listed in my etsy shop and possibly finish my custom order. Details about that, forth coming!
until next time,
dale ;)
